AIR AMBULANCE
FUNDRAISING EVENT
on
THURSDAY
17th OCTOBER
2-4pm
On Thursday 17th October we are holding a musical charity event with the assistance of Papa Jon from the Breaston Ukulele Players. A host of musicians will be calling in to entertain everyone throughout the afternoon donating their time and fee to raise funds for the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance.
We will be holding a raffle with prizes to include a luxury hamper, wine, chocolates and vouchers. A tombola will also be held on the day.
Tickets for the raffle will go on sale from Monday 7th October at £1 per strip of 5 tickets and Shirley would appreciate donations for the tombola prior to the event.
It will be a busy afternoon and Shirley will confirm parking arrangements with the Holiday Inn. The hotel kindly supports our fundraising activities by allowing parking in their ‘Additional Parking’ area for the duration of our events. A notice regarding parking will be displayed nearer the day and please remember to enter your car registration details in the Holiday Inn Parking Eye System which is located in the hotel reception area.
We hope you will join us for a lovely afternoon of entertainment and fun.
ART at the HeART
The Autumn Edition of ‘EBC today’ magazine produced by Erewash Borough Council features an article on page 11 regarding your amazing artwork produced during the ART at the HeART sessions which were on display at the Erewash museum during the summer. It shows super photographs of your applique work and of Vera chatting with the Mayor of Erewash during the Seaside Celebration. We are hoping the editor will supply additional copies for the Grange but until then please see Shirley if you would like to view the article.
Quiz Results
Thank you to all those who took part in the quiz for September with team ‘Miriam and Dorothy’ winning this month’s top accolade with full marks.

October Birthdays
We have two birthdays this month with Vera D on the 9th and Zoe on the 15th. Congratulations to Vera who turns 101 years young on her birthday.

WEDNESDAY 2nd Please extend a warm welcome to UKULELE DAVE on his return visit to the Grange. After his initial visit we received many requests for his return and we hope you will join Dave from 2.30pm in the main lounge for an afternoon of singalong tunes.
WEDNESDAY 9th Join JOHNNY VICTORY in the dining room for another spectacular show from 2pm.
THURSDAY 17th AIR AMBULANCE FUNDRAISING EVENT. Throughout the afternoon join Papa Jon and his musicians in the dining room from 2pm. Raffle and Tombola with all monies raised donated to the Air Ambulance.
FRIDAY 25th PRIZE and SINGO BINGO
Enjoy prize bingo, Karen’s cakes, and free raffle from 2pm in the dining room with our friends from the Risley Not-So-Young Group.
