The Grange Gazette November 2022 Edition
Helping Others
At the Grange we have a long tradition of helping others and have raised awareness and funds for many charitable organisations over the years. This year we are supporting the Canaan Trust in Long Eaton. The Trust operates 24-7, 365 days a year from Main Street and provides care and support for anyone in need with issues relating to homelessness, insecure accommodation, benefits, debts or food poverty. As Christmas time approaches it is always a good time to reflect and we are taking this opportunity to ask for any donations you feel able to provide.
Your generosity will enable the Trust to make up food parcels for those in need of help and we have a list of preferred items at the close of our newsletter. Donations may be left with the manager’s office and we thank you in anticipation of your support and kindness.
Wearing our Poppies with Pride
This year Armistice Day, 11th November, falls on a Friday and poppies will be provided for all residents if required. Remembrance Sunday is the 13th November and we will observe the occasion being televised on BBC1. This will be the first time our new King will lead commemorations at the Cenotaph.
Santa’s Grotto
Father Christmas will be calling in at the Grange on Saturday 10th December to visit residents, families, staff and children. It is always helpful for the elves to know if you will be visiting Santa’s Grotto by adding your child’s name to the list in the main reception.
This will ensure the elves have made the correct number of toys for those who visit on the day!
November Birthdays
This month we are celebrating four birthdays.
We wish many happy returns to
Kath W on the 6th, Margaret F on the 9th and Brian on the 30th while Audrey celebrates her milestone 100th birthday on the 16th.
Everyone at the Grange would like to wish you all the happiest of days.
