ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS

Firstly we must thank Barbara Parkinson BEM for her fun and interesting talk and Sharon from Aloumo Beauty for providing professional manicures during our October activities.  Your appreciation was humbly received by both ladies who hope to return very soon.

In the weeks before Christmas November is always a busy time with new activities and entertainment throughout the month.

While Christmas may seem a long way ahead we have many exciting events including our Christmas Fayre, which this year falls on the 3rd December.  We hope you will make a special note in your diary and enjoy this day with family, friends and staff at the Grange.

Shirley would be most grateful for donations of Bric-a-Brac and suitable items for our Tombola. Soft toys would be perfect for a children’s ‘Teddy Tombola’. Donations of jams, chutneys and cakes would be appreciated along with bottles of beer, wine, bubble bath etc for our bottle stall.  Your support is always amazing and we look forward to making it a wonderful afternoon.

Poppies will be available for all residents and the Service of Remembrance is on Sunday 13th November. We have also raised funds for the British Legion with the sale of poppy dog- collar tags at £1 each. Shirley has limited stock but please enquire should you like to support this worthwhile cause. We would be delighted for any photographs of your dog..or cat..wearing a tag so we can make a display in our foyer.

On Wednesday 16th Bonmarche will visit from 2pm with their Autumn/Winter Range of clothing.  Please see Shirley if you require any particular items of clothing and all family and friends are most welcome to join us on the day.

Local artist Barry Sutcliffe visits the Grange on the 23rd with a water colour demonstration and exhibition.  We will also have craft items for sale from CP Crafts and The Wright Cards and Gifts. Light refreshments will also be available with proceeds to the Resident’s Fund.

Santa Claus will be calling in from 10.30-11.30 on the morning of Saturday 26th and he is looking forward to collecting ‘Santa Letters’

from your children and grandchildren. With milk and cookies, activity sheets and a present from the elves we hope you will have an exciting morning. Please see Shirley if you require any further information.

We are also holding a Christmas Drawing Competition for under 13s with a £10 gift voucher as first prize. Competition sheets will be available from the foyer and the winner will be announced at the Christmas Fayre. Your drawings will be displayed at the Grange and all applicants will receive a little thank you gift.
