GRANGE GAZETTE

JULY EDITION 2018

Thank you to everyone for your support and contributions to our annual Summer Fayre.

While the sun failed to shine on the day we still enjoyed a lovely time indoors while Ilkeston Brass entertained everyone in the gardens.

Our thanks to residents, family friends and staff for helping to raise an amazing £1,123.45. We have added the money to the Resident’s Fund making such a difference to the activities and entertainment Shirley is able to provide.

Activities

While we welcome the return of your favourite entertainers this month we hope you will also enjoy a ‘taste of France’ on Wednesday 18th.  Sample French patisserie, join in the quiz and games and listen to the sounds of Paris with Monsieur Jules in the afternoon. Monsieur Jules will entertain everyone and play the accordian in the main lounge after lunch.

Make a date in your diary for July 29th when our friends from the Risley Not so Young Group will be joining you for a lovely afternoon of prize bingo.  We always enjoy their visits and look forward to seeing you in the dining room from 2pm.

Birthdays

July is a busy month for birthdays with a particularly special birthday taking place on the 2nd when Ernest celebrates his 100th birthday. Congratulations Ernest, we hope you have a wonderful day with your family.

We must also send best wishes to Betty on the 4th and George on the 8th of July. Everyone at the Grange hope you enjoy your special days.

Quiz Results

Our quiz for June was a very close competition which resulted in a tie-breaker won by Ernest.  Well done!
