GRANGE GAZETTE JULY EDITION 2017 A very big thank you to everyone for your support at our annual Summer Fayre. We hope you enjoyed the RAF Spitfire flypast on such a beautiful sunny day. On returning to base the pilot kindly rang the Grange to ask if we had enjoyed our day and we passed on your many thanks for making our Summer Fayre so memorable. We also thanked the Mayor and her Consort for their visit and they hope to join us again very soon. Shirley would also like to thank staff, friends and families for their help and support. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying an afternoon in the sun. In total we raised a record breaking £1437.49 which will make such a difference to the activities and entertainment Shirley will be able to provide. How can we forget our lovely Lol and Zac for agreeing to raise further funds by completing another set of challenges? Zac ate a dozen snails in garlic while Lawrence had his legs waxed and dressed as ‘Florence’ for the afternoon. Together they raised well over a hundred pounds for the Resident’s Fund. Our many thanks to Ria from Deborah Williams Hair and Beauty in Stapleford for not only taking on the task of waxing Lol but for the generous £40 donation the salon made to the Resident’s Fund. Our Feathered Friends We are pleased to welcome three new arrivals at the Grange! The baby budgies have settled in well and their names were chosen from your suggestions. In the main lounge we have PETER which is the pale blue budgie and BEAUTY which is the dark blue budgie. BETTY the budgie is a little timid and can be found in the quiet lounge. We hope you will make them very welcome and take a little time to say hello as you pass by. Birthdays July brings four birthdays to the Grange.
