GRANGE GAZETTE

AUGUST 2016

AN INVITATION

We look forward to the pleasure of

your company on Sunday 21st August with entertainment with Adam from 2.30pm.

Adam is a firm favourite at the Grange and we invite you to bring as much sunshine and good weather as possible along with a picnic to enjoy in the garden.  In the event of unfavourable weather we will still have a lovely afternoon inside the building.

Handmade gifts from CP Crafts, bric-a-brac stalls and tombola will also be available.

We have a very busy month ahead with numerous activities, entertainment and trip to the Flower Festival at All Saints Church in Sawley on August 30th.

On Wednesday 17th from 10.30am we welcome back local historian Stephen Flinders.  He will bring actual film footage of Stanton Ironworks showing people at work and his visits are always fun and informative.

Family, friends and ex-employees are always welcome and Stephen enjoys learning from

your wealth of memories.

On Sunday 21st August we welcome the return of Adam.  An amazing singer, Adam will include songs from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s and it would be wonderful if residents, family and friends could join in the occasion by wearing clothes from those eras with a prize for those best turned out! Don’t forget to bring a picnic to enjoy in the garden!

We have limited space for our trip to Sawley

Flower Festival on 30th August which will include a light lunch. Please see Shirley to discuss availability and she will do her best to accommodate as many residents as possible.

We are sure everyone would like to thank John McCormick for raising a fantastic £30 towards the Resident’s Fund.  John organised a table at his local car boot and was amazed at the generosity of people who visited his stall. Thank you John, your kindness is appreciated by everyone.
