SEPTEMBER 2017 EDITION
CLOTHING EVENT
On Wednesday 20th September Hilary of Care Community Clothing in Leicestershire will be visiting the Grange with a wide selection of ladies and gentlemen’s clothing from 2pm.
Family and friends are always welcome and Shirley will provide request forms to ensure Hilary carries a range items you would like to see. Hilary also has a small selection of Cosyfeet slippers available.
We look forward to seeing you on the day.
Activities
September is always a busy month and this year we will be preparing displays for our Flower Festival which begins on October 5th. You will see flowers throughout the Grange and our activities will include photography and crafted items.
As with all flower festivals ours too will follow a theme and this year the theme will be ‘Musicals’. We are currently working on designs for ‘The Sound of Music’, Carousel’,
‘Top Hat’ and ‘Mary Poppins’ and Shirley is always happy for your ideas and suggestions.
Any donations of green oasis, containers or greenery are more than welcome.
We hope you all enjoyed the visit from piper Ed Arnold. Such a lovely man and great entertainment. You can now find an album in the foyer showing your photographs.
The ‘Not so Young’ group from Risley will be visiting the Grange on the 8th to join everyone for prize bingo, cakes and free raffle. We always enjoy their visits so make this a special date for your diary.
Birthdays
This month we send birthday greetings to Ida on the 6th, Lionel on the 7th, Graham on the 15th, Olive Kirk on the 19th and Hilda on the 21st. Congratulations to Alice who celebrates a very special 102nd birthday on September 9th.

Monthly Quiz
Thank you to everyone for taking part in our Bank Holiday quiz. Congratulations Ernest, this month you are our winner with top marks. Well done!
Staff News
During September the Alzheimer’s Society will be visiting the Grange and staff will be given a visual tour of life with dementia.
