APRIL 2016 EDITION
April showers bring forth May flowers
We hope you had a lovely Easter and are looking forward to the Spring. Thank you to everyone for kindly supporting our Easter fundraising raffle and guessing games. You raised a generous £68.50 which we have added to the Resident’s Fund. We use all money raised for various activities and entertainment and your continued support makes a great difference.
On a cold and blustery April day, June 18th may seem a long time away! But please keep this date in your diary as we will be holding our Summer Fayre during the afternoon. It’s time to sort out any bric-a-brac which Shirley will gladly collect in time for the fayre! Should anyone like to hire a table to sell their own homemade items please see Shirley.
ACTIVITIES
We have another busy month of activities and entertainment.
On Wednesday 6th April we have an afternoon of nostalgia when Jayne Darling returns to the Grange with her 1940’s show.
As our thank-you to all the lovely ladies and gentlemen who volunteer their time at Risley Village Hall we are holding a prize bingo session on the afternoon of Friday 22nd April with cream cakes from ‘Birds’ and a free raffle for our residents, volunteers and friends.
On Wednesday 20th April Roland will also be visiting with his St. George’s Day Show.

Friday 22nd. Bingo and Cream Cakes with our friends from Risley. 2pm in the dining room.
Monday 25th. Stapleford Baptist Church. Service in the main lounge from 2pm.
Friday 29th.C.K. Cody. Country and Western
Singer. Entertainment in the main lounge from 2pm.

Birthdays
Everyone at the Grange would like to wish Joan Belshaw a happy birthday on the 2nd April, Vera Simmons on the 23rd and Millie Dakin on the 27th. May your special days bring every happiness.
Staff
We would like to welcome Nichelle Simpson, Christina Bennett and Kerry Smith to the care team and Wendy Smith to the kitchen team. We hope you will be very happy at the Grange.
Throughout the month staff will undertake further training in Moving and Handling, Catheter/Pressure Care, Falls/Dehydration,
Safeguarding Adults, Health and Safety, Food
Hygiene, Infection Control, Equality and Diversity, COSHH and Dementia with Medication for seniors.
